Honestly, pretty much all the short stories in those magazines are excellent. There's another one about a group of teenagers in a band that use their music to get messages to the republic during ANH.

I'm a little unorthodox with my cats, I guess. They bite me, i hiss at them. They claw me, I hiss at them. They hiss at me, i hiss at them. Works pretty well, actually. They know what that means, even if it's weird that it's coming from a human.

That being said, i only do those things when they've been particularly bad about it. If I've overstepped, or not been observant of their moods... Well, that's my bad.

My female cat is very oversensitive to touch. She wants a few pets along her back or under her chin and then GTFO, okay? You might just want to put what you know about who your cat used to be and start fresh with a clean perspective. Get to know this cat and see how it goes.

Also, was she socialized before you adopted her? She might be lonely and having trouble adapting to life without other cats around.

You are not incorrect! I was mostly concerned about space in the survey. I omitted a LOT of things from the non-video gaming sections because of that. Long surveys turn people off.

You should try to talk them into going to see a vet with you. make sure it's a vet that's not going to recommend putting Rusty down - and those kinds of vets are out there. :/ My vet is super pro-FIV cats, so I got really lucky. They were super pleased that we insisted on keeping Grumpy-Cat (he'd been a stoop cat for a few years, and we don't name them real names... now he's stuck with it).

I have a stray that has FIV, and another cat that does not. It is VERY hard to spread between cats. According to my vet, they pretty much have to maul each other and trade more than just a little fluid in order for another cat to be infected. My cats have gotten into scraps with each other, and both are perfectly fine. My non-infected cat is still not infected.

If your roommate is agreeable, you can work with the cats to introduce them slowly so they don't have any violent conflicts. Keep Rusty in one room, rub socks on his scent glands and show the socks to the other cat to get that cat used to the new smell. Make sure you do the same with your roommate's cat and Rusty. Introduce Rusty into the apartment slowly, room by room. etc.

We didn't really have many problems getting our cats to get along. Our stray with FIV stayed in his own room for a little over a month, then we introduced him. They're pretty friendly now.

I live in GA or I'd say we'd take him. :/

That was an excellent deal on Descent, and it's a great game. My suggestion is, if you decide to go the "campaign" route, setup a dedicated play space for it - it's a very LONG game and you'll come back over and over again during the course of a few weeks.

I'm a retailer, and of course I have my own preferences and things but here's my advice!

I don't play either D&D or Pathfinder, so I'm not biased there. If what you want is to get into actual tabletop gaming, go to a session of D&D encounters. If you don't like that, THEN sign up for a Pathfinder Society session. I say this because D&D Encounters are free and easy to join - you JUST SHOW UP. You need nothing. They teach you everything you need to know.

Pathfinder Society games, which are supposed to be the beginner games for their product, require you to sign up for the event before hand. This is really frustrating because it adds an extra step and cuts some people out of the loop. I have a much higher attendance to my D&D encounters sessions than I have even interest in Pathfinder Society (I can see the look of annoyance on customer faces when I tell them they have to sign up on a website - they don't care after that).

Both games are good, if slightly different. I'd say D&D Encounters is more like a board game than Pathfinder.

If you want a "true" board game experience, I recommend Wrath of Ashardalon. It's basically the same game as Castle Ravenloft, but with a more "true" fantasy feel. It gets better reviews from new players because of the fantasy genre.
