We wouldn't even be having this issue if JJ was healthy. Minor would be in the minors honing his craft and getting that fastball (that is amazing when it's location is on) and that killer breaking ball perfected. When he's good he's great but he just hasn't been good at all recently. He's young and he's about 2 years from being completely ready.

I think the kid has a lot of promise. But he's just not there yet. Maybe JJ will return soon healthy and dominant again. If he does, that will give some of our younger guys more time to develop.

We have tried diet adjustments, toys and we even got him a playmate but since his injury he's a bit arthritic so while energy isn't a problem the willingness to expend it is. We feed small amounts a couple times a day. I may try moving his dish around. Maybe that will help.

Yes. He's the picture of health. He had a hip injury that made him inactive for a while when he was younger and he just never lost the weight.
