I'm considering it, and may give that a try, but I'm not sure if it's the right marketplace for it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, sorry about the vagueness, I just didn't feel it was appropriate at this early stage of exploration to provide too much detail publicly about the plugin itself.

I can say, though, that it is a design tool that has niche functionality that will likely never be added to core, and lots of room for adding features to stay current with emerging core functionality.

I've heard that a reasonable asking price for a business is approximately 1 year's worth of profit. By that metric, I'd be asking around $32k, but because I'm interested in making a quick sale, I thought I'd make the price a more attractive $25k. That, and $25k is a figure I could totally sleep at night about in terms of not regretting letting it go.

How far off the mark do you think I am? What would you price a biz with this sort of revenue at?

Thanks!

I live in a fairly small city and, though there is a decent tech community, I'm not sure it's the right place to find an interested party. That said, I could certainly do a focused search for WordPress-based WebDev companies and contact them about it.

Your idea about soliciting competition is a good one, and is definitely my next step in the process. I've already been scoping out the field for the best prospects to contact.

Thanks for your input!
