I'm actually still in school myself (university), however I took a break from college to work for a company that originally hired me to do data entry, and then I gradually took on web and print design projects after I proved myself. I worked for them for a couple of years, and knew that I wanted to do it as a career.

Anyways, to answer your question... yes! I think it's a great career choice. Here are some things I can pass on:

• You have to be an excellent communicator. Bosses, clients, and coworkers expect you to understand the parameters of the project and ask the right questions to fill their needs.
• There is a lot of sitting. I gained like...30 pounds while I was working behind a desk. Just keep that in mind.
• This is probably the most important: It is a competitive field to be in. The more you can diversify your skill-sets, the better. You have to keep learning to stay competitive
