While I don't think all ideas can be generated this way, it's a good starting point if you're stuck, and it could be a good problem solving exercise, since you're not always going to choose the form you have to work within.

It's fine if that's what you really love and what you want to do, but people often won't take your art seriously if it's just manga. Whether that's a fair response or not is debatable, but that's what I've seen and heard from illustration artists and students

I concur, good storage. The service is great, although one time there was an unexpected power outage and there was a big hullabaloo since nobody could get into the units and they had to reset the whole system...probably a rare occurrence though

i get where you're coming from, that you don't want your site to be the same as everyone else, but there are some basic advertising flaws here. The first thing you see is your giant name, which is sort of an "I AM AWESOME" statement. There's also not much breathing space between your images, and I don't know what kind of computers they'll have, but most of your images don't quite fit my screen so I have to keep scrolling around.

Your work should speak for itself, so make sure your site focuses on the images, not big giant words. And the work is pretty good, so keep the site simple to make your art pop!

I would suggest gesso-ing a wood panel. It's sturdier and more durable than stretched canvas. I think the smoothness would also help the effect, just be careful with your gesso application.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Because I only had a week or so to work on the project (I presented it a couple of hours ago) I was just clearing up things that really weren't working, and it also had more of a technical flair because I'm an animation student in an architecture class. But your ideas were helpful just to get me thinking about more interesting solutions to my project. And if I have any free time (lulz) I will definitely add more interesting stuff.
