TROPHY CASE

"I'm a gay guy who has zero sympathy for transgendered people. If you're miserable to the point of wanting to mutilate your body to change your mind, you need a better psychiatrist, not a surgeon." + 16 by adreamofhodorin ShitRedditSays

Whenever I hear 'mutilate your body' I hear OH GOD WHAT ABOUT THE PENIS

look at this cute little guy who would ever want to make him sad:

I saw these and wtf. r/photoshopbattles made one, too.

The comic is horrifying. This is supposed to be clever?

[mini-effort] On the use of the word "rape" in a collaborative drawing at r/mylittlepony by EagleOfPrometheusin ShitRedditSays

[–]whateversusan 5 points6 points ago

Same here. I love r/mlp usually, I wish this hadn't happened. Sometimes the MLP fanbase is bad at things. Case in point, the name "Derpy" itself is actually pretty offensive, and there have been some issues surrounding race. But it's one of the least terrible places on Reddit, for sure. r/mlplounge is even better.

...Why is Derpy saying...?

That's not really cool, I don't like that. ):

It used to be this sort of nice place where women just... talked to one another. It was nice. But it gradually filled in with poop, because that's what happens on Reddit. I unsubscribed about a year ago and whenever I go back I'm horrified at what it's become.

But it's IRONIC racism so it's okay!

Edit: it's not ironic, they're actually a bunch of racists

I'm a 'man' who relates to feminity. I dunno if I want to transition, but help me make sense of myself please! by DuckTruckin SRSGSM

I won't lie, it was awkward for a little while. But once people kind of understood more about me and what 'transgender' might mean I found that the people who really cared made a serious effort to use my new name/pronouns and treat me well. It wasn't always easy and there were a lot of missteps, but we all got through it.

I think that if your friends are already okay with you having feminine tastes then they'll be with you if you decide to move further. You may find that your friends are a lot less shocked than you think, especially if you present as feminine already! One of my friends liked to joke that for me it was all the fault of my playing Super Princess Peach all the time!

Hey there! I'm a trans woman, transitioned about two years ago. I went through a very long period of wondering what, exactly, I wanted to do about my own gender issues, so I understand a little bit of what you're going through. A gender therapist can help you sort through those feelings, though I found in the end I had to come to a lot of the conclusions on my own.

Femininity in "male-bodied" (though that can be a problematic term) folks is such a taboo in our society, but I found that once I started making steps people were an awful lot more accepting than I ever thought they would be. You should do what feels right and comfortable FOR YOU, and your friends, if they're friends, will follow along.

I'm happy to answer any questions, or just to offer support!
