I hated almost every cake I have tried in US. Except for two bakeries:

Almandine bakery in dumbo makes some very-very good cakes. I am not sure if they do wedding cakes.
Kiev bakery in sheephead bay makes some excellent cakes. They definitely do custom ones. Their variety is overwhelming though.

It's such a short stretch that I don't see it as a huge problem. You just walk your bike for a minute. I am all for fixing all bike paths, but I am not surprised that this is not a priority.

I own a car in the city, and don't use a garage. I use the car quite often to go to far-away boroughs and to outside of the city, and will not give it up. But I also don't live in Manhattan. If you are in a neighborhood where parking isn't too hard, then I don't see it as anything especially bad. FDR and west side highway are usually not bad as well.

Oh also. One of the reviews for them mentioned that they are not recraftable :/

Nope. Alas. If I find I'll let you know. Perhaps the other shoes I saw are no longer made, which is why searching through sites of the more famous manufacturers yielded nothing.
