by all means I would love to see what you produce in 3 months of purely making art assets even for something as simplistic as a basic room (4 walls) and a high poly animal let alone a massive colossus with AI/animations/puzzle elements that you create from scratch with a massive landscape to match.

When you've got an idea, then there isn't much figuring out. Your though process is still stuck in having separate phases.

I have been in the industry for 4 years. There is no "easy" approach. It takes a lot of programming knowledge and a lot of art assets/time/money to create something in as massive a scale as shadow of the colossus.

Yes to create an entire game. this isn't that. I can't see how you not understand this after 4 years.

You think steam workshop is only for portal2? I'm not suggesting an editor, I'm suggesting an easier approach for modders.

To counter your "killer" argument: This old game still kick other games asses by today's standard, yeah it may not have trillions of polygons, but the game has some serious qualities most games don't have. As for exclusivity; deals can be made.

I agree the chance is very small for this to happen, but I know it's far from impossible. I do have some good understanding on game development, and because I do I know it is possible. Sure it'll take some time to have small team to make a colossus, but there are also others that want to create their colossus.

except for the parachute, all the items that you were able to use didn't add to fighting a colossus. The magnificence of this game are that the battles are puzzles at the same time.

It's up to the creative people to not just make a useful item but to incorporate the use of an item in the battle of a colossus.

Example:

item; grappling arrow
colossus type: airborne
 Will need grappling arrow and parachute to engage battle. Falling will result in death.

This will make certain Items more engaging in fighting colossi. Otherwise they don't have much added value.

But the point is not items or weapons, the big idea was that the game will be filled with community designed colossi, and also some items. and hopefully some of the creative team are able to create something epic we didn't think of.
