Ever heard of Pensacola Christian College? It's...pretty much a concentration camp. by twoforjoyin WTF

[–]twoforjoy[S] 3 points4 points ago

If you're serious, I'm glad that you have been persuaded not to go. What led me to discover this horrible place was hearing that a coworker of my sister's is planning to go there. I hope he can be saved too!

Well obviously the official site isn't going to have these kinds of reviews on them.

And I actually only just heard of it. No connection, just appalled at the fact that a place like this actually exists.

"if you are caught studying after 11, you are considered a cheater, and dealt with as such."

"My parents sent me to PCC because they were dedicated Christians and thought that the school would encourage me in my faith. It did the opposite. My most vivid memory is being called to the office of the Dean of Women. It had come to her attention that I was dating an African American man (I am white). She told me that the school couldn't legally outlaw interracial dating, but that the administration did not approve. I will strongly discourage my own children from attending this college."

Indeed there is a "-" next to his name. Is it not clear in the photo? I thought it was.

What are your favorite Buffyisms? by twoforjoyin buffy

Most definitely have. Although Adams has some misinterpretations, so I wanted to hear more from the Buffy community.

Nope, it is Liz. The "-Anthony" was him signing his name. Apparently that's really hard to figure out because lots of people here seem to be getting the impression we are both male. Don't know why it matters though. It doesn't change the humor of the situation in any way.

It's not that hard, guys. How do so many people misread it?

He signed his name, thusly:

-Anthony

Hence the need for a P.S.

update Here is the asparagus. It is soggily bathing in a pool of soy sauce and sesame seeds. Not terrible, actually, but it pretty much just tastes like soy sauce.

Awesome, thanks, I'll definitely check it out!

I've already got some great academic sources (The Buffy Lexicon, as well as several articles on slayer slang), but I'd really like to get a better idea of how Buffyspeak is used in the real world.

There was a very classy salad with goat cheese and everything - very tasty. There was also leftover cajun catfish that he had made the day before while he was not drunk, so that was great too.

I didn't try the asparagus, I was too afraid.

Gaaah someone took Numfar! Nooo! I don't suppose there could also be a "Numfar of the Deathwok Clan", could there? Although that is technically in Angel...

If not, I'll have to think a bit more, but I may ask for something like "Pet"...always wanted to hear Spike call me that!

My brother's 10-week old Persian. Reddit, meet Penny. by SjBluntin aww

I have a Persian named Penny too! Sometimes we have to shave her because she gets knotted up. And sometimes we have to bathe her too.
