We are pretty lacking at WR right now. I'm sure a bears player would help our offense.

Why didn't someone tell me 3d printers have got this good? by sebzim4500in videos

I've made an adjustable wrench with a machine very similar to this. The only modification that was made was blasting all the powder that was on there off. The wrench was made at all once. It's a shitty wrench that is made of plastic, but it adjusts.

I used to work a lot with 3d Printers. The crescent wrench is the example that is always used. It is cool and I would love to see the technology develop more, but the wrench that is produced now isn't very useful at all. Not only does it break quite easily, but because of the tolerances of the machines that are used the adjusting screw is very loose.

Anyone have any tips on going pro? by ginsbusin TheBrewery

The difference isn't huge, I suppose the fact that he was still "cutting corners" was what was concerning.

The biggest problem with buckets is headspace during secondary. By using carboys, you can fill them up during secondary and create less surface area that is contact with the air. Purging the vessel with CO2 is also much more viable with carboys.

In addition, because plastic is oxygen permeable, when aging beers for extended periods of time glass carboys will give better results.

To be honest, if you are too cheap to spring for a carboy and you can't notice the difference you might not be ready to open up a nano. I would say building your system up is the first step.

The volume I was talking about was the size of the system. 15-60 gallons per batch. You can do things however you want to do them, but I would really suggest building your system up slowly and/or getting a bar or two to sponsor you. You will have to convince them to buy your beer eventually.

Theres a few places you could start. Nano-breweries are in vogue right now. They are popping up everywhere. It is basically 1/2-2 barrel system that is located either in someones garage or in a bar of some kind. If you could find a bar to buy your beer, that could be a place to start.

If you have tons of money, you could start a brew pub.

If you want to work in the brewing industry, the best way to get in on the ground level is to find your closest micro-brewery and ask for an application. You won't start as a brewer, but you can work your way up. I have an engineering background and so starting as a general laborer gave me the opportunity to be a brewer within a year. That might not be typical, but it is possible.

Who here has tried the new Wisconsinte Weiss beer from Lakefront Brewery? It's a beer made entirely with ingredients from Wisconsin only and it is damn good! This is a beer that makes me proud to live here. by Doggiestylzein wisconsin

I like Ale Asylum over Capital for Madison Beers. Other than their wild rice dopplebock, Capital just seems so.. forgettable.

I'll be visiting 42 of the continental 48 states this year. What's the best local brew in each state? by Simply_Amazingin beer

[–]tsondie21 1 point2 points ago

Wisconsin: Ale Asylum Bedlam.

It is a belgian IPA and it is the best of that style that I have ever tasted. You will probably hear of New Glarus' Spotted Cow as our best, but it's really not. New Glarus is the most popular of Wisconsin Craft Beers and Spotted Cow is their most popular beer. It is a nice little cream ale that tastes good and its the perfect transition from shitty beer to craft beer. That's why people like it and for what it is, it's great.

I work at Milwaukee Brewing Company and so I don't feel comfortable suggesting one of our beers as the "best" because of bias and all that, but if you get a chance to stop by, our O Gii Wit is absolutely fantastic. It is an Imperial Wit that is spiced with Green Tea. I hate Wits and I love this beer. It's 9.5 percent and drinks like 4.
