I'm not even sure why he was thrown out. It was a minor scuffle.

Did you see the replay? He didn't get thrown out for the scuffle. The ref was giving him a technical, but Ebanks had to follow him all the way to the scoring table and mouth off to him. He didn't get ejected for pushing. He got ejected for mouthing off to the ref. He was just getting a technical, then he mouthed off, then he was ejected.
