This. Yes, you can do this. True, it may not be the fanciest, most high tech way to smoke, but there is something special about using the power of the sun to toke on a beautiful spring day. It takes some practice to get the angle just right, and you should probably wear sunglasses; staring the focus point for too long is bad for your eyes.

I have a domer with a quartz nail, I love the thing. Never used titanium, though. How does it compare to quartz?

I do wish they would try to get behind it more seriously, too, like all of reddit did with the internet censorship laws. I just don't feel like it would have a serious effect until we have lawmakers who realize that religion has no place in politics.

Regarding the science of killing flies, I have always have great success clapping my hands together about 4-6 inches directly above the fly. They fly straight up and between your hands.

I've staggered home many nights after sitting in the driver's seat trying to convince myself that I was alright to drive. I do not think its OK to drive drunk, and never do so.

At the same time, I have had to wake up an hour early for my morning shift to pick my car up at whatever bar I left it at the night before. Although I always curse myself for it at the time, its still much preferable to a DUI or running someone over.

It seems like I have pandered for some downvotes.

I didn't actually realize she was drowning at the time. Reddit recently taught me that drowning doesn't look like drowning.

A couple summers ago, I was on my smoke break at work (I work at a marina), and a drunk, kind of cute girl spots me on her way to the docks from the bar and tells me to come swimming with her. Pretty laid back job, and it was a hot day, so I knew my boss wouldn't care if I cooled off. We get to the end of the docks and are about to jump in when her boyfriend shows up and starts yelling at her, so she just jumps in. Afraid of being alone on the dock with an angry boyfriend, I jump in, too. He keeps yelling at her, calling her names, telling her she is being drunk and stupid, and then just says fuck it and walks off.

Well, she keeps swimming farther and farther out into the lake, towards the breakwater (unconnected piece of dock that forms the marina boundary) and is still pretty drunk and I start to get worried as her swimming is starting to get weaker. About then the boyfriend comes back to yell at her some more and tells me to gtfo and leave his girlfriend alone. I kind of awkwardly start swimming back toward the dock, and she pulls herself out of the water, onto the breakwater and I thought the situation was resolved.

He tells her to stay there while he gets his boat to pick her up, and I grab my shirt and towel and start heading back to work when I hear a splash, and turn around to see chick back in the water, on the other side of the breakwater, dogpaddling toward the middle of the lake. I drop my shit, run to the end of the dock, dive in and swim out to her (total Baywatch moment, it felt super badass).

I convince her to come back to the break with me, and we wait for her boyfriend to show up while she cries about what an douchebag he is, blah blah. He shows up and freaks out on me, and I'm pretty sure I'm about to get my ass kicked. I tried explaining what had happened but it just seemed to piss him off more. Then she yells 'he just saved my life, you fucking asshole', and he went from red faced fury, to confusion, to comprehension, to crying and thanking me profusely. Shit started getting awkward, so I left, went back to work, and almost got written up for taking too long of a break.

TLDR; Saved a drunk chick from drowning and her boyfriend wanted to beat me up.
