Check what dropped today - Just picked up my copy by darkwaterpiratein vinyl

I dunno man. I've got the 3xlp tin version and it only set me back $50. Worth it. Also worth it is the $100 I dropped on the MF Doom 11xlp Special Herbs set.

NEW POLLING: 56% of Americans Want Legal Marijuana by erikNORMLin politics

[–]thetrumpetplayer 0 points1 point ago

'Fraid not. As much as I'd love to live in a society where hemp use is widespread across industries, and weed is legal/taxed/widespread, just remember that even if it was 99% saying YES, the deep pockets of vested interests will never let it pass. Democracy was traded for golden handshakes a long time ago.

No. If you don't agree with the collection method then don't use the service. Simple.

You can have as many opened scotches as you like. There will be no degradation of opening them! Unless it takes you more than 20+ years to get through a bottle, I wouldn't worry about it and just open them up if you want to drink them (lord knows what else you'd want to do with them!)

I have to know: The Glenrothes '88. What do you think of it? I've only ever had the standard 10.y.o I think and I love it personally. There is a bottle shop nearby that has the Glenrothes 88 for only $99 and I'm tempted ($99 in Australia is cheap... trust me).

As acoustics are a key part of audiophilia... This is Melbourne's Elisabeth Murdoch auditorium by sammcjin audiophile

As someone who often performs here, I can also say that form a stage perspective, it's a very nice hall to perform in acoustically.

Postie's represent! Spotted your TAS plate, nice going with the little creatures. I miss my postie. Had her lowered, sushi-bars, screamer little pipe, black paint job, then stolen. Such is life.

What BIFL products developed recently do you think will become highly sought after in the future? by tburke40in BuyItForLife

[–]thetrumpetplayer 9 points10 points ago

I can't say I agree. Apart from the fact that your whole post reads like you are a pioneer salesman, most consumer-grade electronic gear is ALWAYS going to get superceded by development in technology over time. That huge 38" rear-projection TV that you bought in 1994 after the salesman told you it "would last a lifetime" certainly hasn't either. The other issue I have with your suggestion is your:

Top quality, little-used

If anything is 'little-used' then it will almost always be a BIFL. My $1.98 clip folder that I use to file tax documents once every four years is BIFL by that logic. Never mind that this clip folder is just another piece of made-in-china junk. Little use keeps it in check!

(4) The fact that some states like CA banned them makes them all the more coveted.

Banning a film for ultra graphic content will make it coveted and cult in status. Banning a mass-market consumer product in some states means people will just buy something else in a market saturated by choice.

And yes, OLED, or whatever the next breakthrough is in display tech, will make the silly consumer who paid $7000 on Amazon for a dated television feel pretty stupid...

Some Nandos have a bottle hidden away called the 'black bottle'. It's a Nandos black bottle super-spicy sauce that they don't keep on display just due to it's potent power. I've found they don't all have it though. If you can find it, get on the juice!

It's a staple at places like Nandos. It's a spicy kinda sauce, very tasty, very fatty.

Lemme guess. Inside your brand-name lycra team color jersey lies a heart of ice that can't stand that such a sweet bike was built for the same monetary amount that you spend on your Cannondale 'approved' tyre set. This subreddit is clearly not for tools.

I often don't find time to cook at home, so when out on the road:

  • 1/2 roast chicken: $4
  • 1 x ripe avocado: $1
  • Some peri peri sauce (98% fat) $1.50
