It's a reference to the oft-misheard lyrics of the theme song. Oversensitive much?

Not to be a one-upper but I've also climbed Mt. Washington http://imgur.com/vMLIu but it was during a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail http://imgur.com/kIWZH . The Whites/Presidentials and Southern Maine are easily the prettiest sections of the AT in my opinion.

7 tips on raising your first startup capital by MarkHayesin startups

Hi Mark,

Thanks for posting this. As someone who's not located in a tech-friendly area, I was wondering if you could expand on the "Meet new people" point.

I've been reading a plethora of fundraising advice and almost every article recommends a similar strategy of "Hey talk to your wealthy friends" or "meet new wealthy friends" but I'm not sure about etiquette/protocol here. We think we've got a good product, there's some traction, and we've funded it to date with the profits from our first startup. So ... what now? Should we email a slide deck to wealthy friends or VC firms? Host a dinner party? Stage some sort of publicity stunt?

Any advice you've got would be awesome, we're in a small rust-belt town (York, PA) so there's not a lot of tech-startup mentorship here and articles like this are truly invaluable. Thanks again.

Is there any news coverage of this? I feel like there's got to be a great backstory.

If you're willing to check out a new challenge, allow me to recommend the Climbnasium in Mechanicsburg. I'm a member, and although I don't get to make it up as often as I'd like (it's a long drive from York), I can assure you it's a great climbing gym and a super positive and encouraging community. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and with both Governor's Stables and Mount Gretna nearby you'd be remiss not to check out at least some of the area bouldering. Bring you're boyfriend too (you'll want a belayer or spotter anyway, and climbing is a great trust building activity).

Disclaimer: I'm in no way affiliated with the Climbnasium besides the fact that I climb there and think they're pretty rad dudes.

We've actually flirted with adding e-sports before. Perhaps I'll bring it up again at today's meeting. Anything more specific?

Thanks for the feedback. We're from a small town in PA where everyone knows everyone, so I really can't explain how much it means to hear good things from a "stranger".

We work on Correctnicity.com - Prove what you know about Sports/Politics/Entertainment by predicting questions about the future of those subjects, get scored based on how early you predict and versus how much opposition. Level up as you gain experience and increase your Correctnicity score by predicting harder questions.

Shameless self(sorta) promotion: We're currently running a promo during the holiday season where we're donating up to $10,000 to Penny Arcade's Child's Play Charity. It's free and I assume most redditors are smart/informed enough to earn either the $5 or $50 reward for CP. We're also in beta and an all-redditor company so feedback from you guys would be awesome. Thanks.

Just throwing this out there, that's a slack line not a tight rope.
