hey don't mean to hijack this thread..but can anyone tell me how many upvotes and downvotes a comment has on a thread? and also, when you are upvoted/downvoted...is there a way to know which user upvoted/downvoted you?

Are gay people gay because they were abused and/or had bad childhoods or not? by themelodyhauntsin AskReddit

then what makes someone gay?

I mean two gay people can't have babies, for obvious reasons. So why is nearly 10 percent of the population gay since it doesn't make evolutionary sense to be gay?

I agree. For me, it is definitely emotional and sexual. the thought of a caring, sweet, witty, soft-skinned woman is all I really want most of the time.

I apologize if I have offended you or anyone else. I am not saying that all gay people have been abused because of course that does not make sense. I am only saying that people who have been sexually abused or had a bad childhood are perhaps have a higher chance of being gay than the average person?

it doesn't make evolutionary sense to be gay though. So I'm not sure why it happens?

I never said it was scientific. only a trend that I have seen.

I know that of course. but it is merely a trend I've seen, so I am curious.

actually, I would rather this kid be in a healthy home, with healthy-minded parents than perverted ones. seems like it's too much to ask from you folks, clearly. It's just stuff like this that gets me mad. it is offensive, crude and unnecessary. sure, it might be funny to you. But trust me hun, it's not funny to anyone who actually was sexually abused as a kid....it is JUST NOT FUNNY.

this is very fucked up shit. I fucking predict years of therapy for that poor kid. but in reality the parents are the ones who need the help NOW. if I found up what that really means years later if my parents did that, I think it would really fuck me up. to the parents and the girl who posted this: GROW THE FUCK UP, you assholes.
