I thought the same thing, but after looking at some jersey pics from last year (specifically Armanti because he had 14) it looks to me like they're the same size. It just looks bigger on Joe Adams because he's skinny as hell.

I'm jealous you were able to see that 2006 Rose Bowl in person. Seriously the best football game I've ever watched.

2011′s Best Performances: 3-4 Outside Linebackers by Furonemin nfl

[–]theFlaccolantern 3 points4 points ago

Technically he's a DE. Last year was the only year he played OLB. He played DE at NC State and his first few years with the Texans. They switched to 3-4 last year when Wade Phillips became the defensive coordinator, and Williams switched to OLB. He'll be switching back to DE for the Bills.

Who would you select to take his place? We haven't had that many great corners.

Oh god, definitely Chris Draft, can't believe I didn't think of him. I disagree about Davis being first. In 2008, DeAngelo had the most dominant rushing season of any RB in our short history. Far better than Davis' 2003 campaign. I'd agree Davis should be over top Stewart though. Here are those two best seasons:

Davis 2003: 318 car 1,444 yds 4.5 ypc 8 TDs

Williams 2008: 273 car 1,515 yds 5.5 ypc 18 TDs

Heh, I know what you mean. I know Jake took us to a Superbowl and played his butt off for us, including being phenomenal in 2005 and 07 before the injury. But then again, it's already pretty clear that Cam will be a better QB barring injury (QUICK KNOCK ON ALL THINGS WOODEN). So I didn't know who to start on that one. I put Cam first because Jake left a sour taste, but it could be argued either way.

What did scouts say about Eli Manning before he was drafted? by _Jairusin nfl

[–]theFlaccolantern 0 points1 point ago

Okay, good to know I'm at least arguing with a rational Giants fan. I'd have to agree rings do mean something, but very little when judging the worth of a QB, because winning the Superbowl requires outstanding play from every position. Dan Marino is one of the top five quarterbacks of all time, but he was never surrounded with enough talent to win a ring.

Don't get me wrong, this past season in particular Eli proved himself to be one of the best in the league. Your first Superbowl with Eli though... I'm sorry, but even Blaine Gabbert could have won that game, with the way your defense and running game were playing.

I honestly think Rivers could have won 3 rings by now had he stayed with the Giants.

Don't worry, he would have won three by now.

Two different ones from two comedians;

Mitch Hedberg:

"Whenever someone hands me a flyer, it's like saying, 'Here, you throw this away for me.'"

Demitri Martin

"I hate that awkward moment when I go to shake someone's hand and they go to fistbump me. Whenever that happens I just say, 'Paper covers rock bitch.'
