Thats why you create a certifiable method for the sperm bank to act as middleman. Basically if the kid needs to know they reach out to the sperm bank. The sperm bank in turn reaches out to the donor and gathers the pertinent information. This information is then stripped of anything that can identify the donor and handed over to the child.

You make them provide the history with the donation. Alternatively you make it posible for the sperm bank to act as an intermediary, keeping the donor anonymous to the child/other parent

I think that might be going a bit far with it. Having the father agree to the child, encouraging the mother to go through with it only to leave her hanging right after birth is kind of cruel and doesn't serve any real purpose. Both parent's agreed to a child and should not so easilly be able to just sign it away after it has been born. Same if it's the mother that suddenly decides to sign away the baby (in a fit of post partim depression or just because she doesn't feel like taking care of it etc.)

In both cases an expectation of cooperation and support was established and then one party is abruptly abandoned.
