TROPHY CASE

I don't know how many of you are into car audio installations, but here goes! by madcaesarin DIY

How do you like it? I've shied away from the touch screen units because I hate having to look at the receiver to change things.

Didn't like Farscape.. I guess that explains it.

Wow.. that was impressively bad.

The last few seasons aren't as good, but IMO they don't ruin SG1.

I almost stopped watching due to Claudia Black. I'm not sure why people like her so much, but I find her annoying.

Amazon announces that it has reached a licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures that will enable Prime Instant Video customers in the U.S. to stream hundreds of new hit movies over the next three years. by PrettyBoyFloydin entertainment

The problem is that a number of the streaming player cannot view wishlists. So it ends up not solving the problem for most.

Massachusetts GOP Denies The Will Of The People; Rules Provisional Ballots Won't Be Counted by txking12in ronpaul

We're not the ones twisting the rules. We're following the rules. It's the GOP establishment that is twisting the rules.

[–]terevos2 -4 points-3 points ago

There are rules set forth by the GOP. We are abiding by them, so should the GOP. If the rules are bad, then they should be changed, not ignored.

The system is that of the GOP. We are simply abiding by the rules. If that system is broken, then it should be fixed.

It's a long shot, but not an impossibility. And so long as there is a chance, we will do what we can to get Paul the nomination.

Mount Willard - at the AMC Highland Center, just over Crawford Notch. Beautiful drive to trailhead, awesome views from the top as well. by infinitetbrin newhampshire

Willard is one of the most rewarding hikes for how easy the climb is. Highly recommend it to all my friends (especially if they're not hikers)

Woman Misses Flight Because of Pro-Choice Shirt (TSA and Flight Crew to Blame) by platkatin OperationGrabAss

[–]terevos2 13 points14 points ago

I hate the TSA just as much as the next guy, but this is not the TSA's fault. It's the airline's. And airlines are free to set their own rules for dress and conduct.

If you don't like that, boycott them.

Can we institute a new rule here: No top comments from threads with over 1000 upvotes from default subs. by giamgiamin bestof

This very question has been asked several times to /r/bestof and the community always comes back saying "Not everyone is subscribed to all the default subreddits."

Like me. I hate the default subreddits because they're mostly junk. /r/bestof is the only way that I hear about some of the good stuff on those popular subreddits.

It seems like, if anything, you'd orient your ship away from the other ship's "up" just to complicate their transporter function should they attempt to board.

Seriously? You think that would complicate the transporter function even in the slightest?

When approaching a fleet of ships that all use a particular direction for "up", your default approach is going to mirror that unless you already had the opposite definition of up with your fleet. So 3/4 times, you would orient to the opposing fleet's "up".

Everybody when i tell them what music i listen to by WUSSUPMONKEYin Hardcore

[–]terevos2 0 points1 point ago

Yup. I'm aware of all that. But in the 90's in New England when you said "I listen to hardcore" everyone knew you meant you probably listened to Overcast, Earth Crisis, Corrin, Zao, Candiria, etc. No one talked about "metalcore" until much later.

It wasn't until Killswitch Engage got popular that "metalcore" was accepted at all by metalheads. The scene they were in previous to that was the hardcore scene. Even Shadow's Fall (which is very metal-leaning metalcore band) was part of the hardcore scene.

So when I hear and use the word "hardcore", it's an incredibly broad category.

Try telling an Overcast fan in the 90's that the band isn't hardcore.

Yeah, except that if they get to be influential, we'll be the ones to get cut by the scissors.

Did you really just compare slaves to live in maids? Are you fucking cracked?

It's an analogy. Like I said "not exact". I think we're done if you are going to over-react like this.

And the south was willing to fight to keep most southerners in bondage.

You do realize that the Civil War was fought by the South over State's Rights, not slavery, right?

Your analogy of a kidnapped daughter is poor. It's closer (but not exact) to someone coming into my home and killing me in order to free my live-in maid.

I am very against slavery.. but I'm more against killing unjustly. War was not the correct answer.
