TROPHY CASE

What story do you tell that no one belives until you provide proof? (NSFW pics inside) by Leuffenin AskReddit

Is that in Pittsburgh? It looks like Oakland and there's a road construction sign in the pic.

Beer Nutz Bottle Shoppe in Fox Chapel, it's a bit closer with better food.

Count everyone within an hour's drive of PGH, so 3 million compared to 600,000? We barely have 2 million people in the entire state, and it's the 5th largest in area. And if you want to compare city to city, then PGH has 3, East End (until they move to Homewood), Penn and Church. ABQ still has La Cumbre, Marble, Il Vicino, Nexus, Badass (I don't name them) and Tractor Brewing. There's another one, Scooter Brewing, that will open soon too.

Just get your stuff out there. La Cumbre brewing out here wasn't open for a year before they won 3 medals at GABF, including 2 gold (1 for an IPA category).

You can't have too many good breweries. I moved from PGH to Albuquerque last year and there are many more local breweries here than in Pittsburgh. We have a dozen or so with a population of 500,000 people while Pittsburgh has 4 or 5 with 3-4x the population. If it tastes good, people will drink it. If you've never been to Beer Nutz bottle shop in Fox Chapel, stop in. They have lots of variety and like to support local brewers. See if Jerry is in, he's one of the owners and a friend of mine. Good luck!

sorry, not all of the testing, but most of it, and probably later testing involves the combination that they feel would work most together.

We brought this up to our pediatrician and she said that they don't test the vaccines separately, but in the combos that they are given in and thus you could be putting your kid at more risk by breaking them up. Plus you are inflicting more injection days on them.

Hey Daddit! What do you guys want for Fathers Day? by eschermondin daddit

[–]steve626 0 points1 point ago

Good luck to you too. What's crazy is that a friend of mine, who lives in Detroit, has 2 girls and is going to have a 3rd kid the same day as you. His middle daughter and mine were born a day apart, our next ones are due a week apart.

[–]steve626 1 point2 points ago

My wife's due date is Father's day, so we'll probably have our second kid a week or so before, so I won't have a chance to have any quiet time. So a healthy mom and baby will make my day. Well, going to my favorite places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner would be great, and a beer or 2 each time. ; )

Must have been an off day. Marble makes good beer, but they are 3rd or 4th on my list. But to each their own.

La Cumbre just opened up last year, they've been open for 14 months or so. They won 3 medals (2 gold) at the GABF and some others at the recent World Beer Cup. Il Vicino makes good everything. But I wish that they had pizza at their canteen. This city's beer and food combinations are really lacking. Alien is okay. I like their Isotope Amber. But I'm not much of a stout guy, I like hops and citrus.

Sorry, I didn't look down far enough to see your NM post. IMO La Cumbre and Il Vicino are both better than Marble. But Marble is a lot more portable.

New Mexico - La Cumbre is the best in the state, and they have the GABF and WBC medals to back it up. But they only keg their beers.
Il Vicino also makes really good beers, probably 2nd best after La Cumbre. The best in bottles or cans are from Santa Fe and Marble.

East End Brewing makes the best beer in Pittsburgh, and it's worth finding their brewery so that you can try every beer that they have on tap at the time, you could probably drink 2 pints for free.

Church Brew Works may be the worst brewery in Pittsburgh. It's always been boring to me, and the wait for a seat isn't worth it for the meh food.

Find Beer Nutz Bottle shop in Fox Chapel and you can try every Pittsburgh beer, plus many more. They have 50+ taps and maybe 2-300 different bottles and cans. Plus the food is great.
