If you just have the chemical imbalance, you'll probably need the meds the majority of your life, so it's important you find the ones you feel work best for you. I'm sure someone somewhere has found a "natural cure" for chemical imbalances, if anyone knows of this please let me know.

Or, if your depression/anxiety is the result of your life's unfortunate circumstances, the medicine should only be an aid to help you stay afloat while you seek therapy.

Chemical imbalance runs strongly on my mother's side, but it was a bad relationship that triggered the worst of my anxiety & depression. After 2 years of scattered counseling sessions & several different prescriptions, I finally got over the worst of my situation. My life has never been better at the moment, but I still need my happy pills every single day, or I will tear your fucking soul to shreds.
