I specifically said, "I really hope they allow the use of Guild Wars 2 retail codes" meaning I would like it to be an option. Accounts for GW1 were linked to e-mail addresses, not Steam. Anyone can download the client, but to access the game, you need an active e-mail address. Either way you can still sell your account, but I for one, won't be selling my account. I never have and never will. I am a game collector. I don't buy a game for a few hours of play and then immediately sell it to another person. I keep them all for the sake of being a collector.
