Quick ideas that aren't fleshed out: A woman who is head over hills for the main character who also happens to be the daughter/wife(scandalous affair!)/sister of an important leader of a conservative group. Main character could use her to get to the leader and once she discovers this, it could throw a wrench in things. Someone that knows our main character. Deep, deep down. The Harry is to the Dexter. This person could be trying to change him. Subtly or obviously. Main character could end up killing him as well. Main character's origins: someone could have created the sociopath. An abusive father? A neglectful mother? Foster home? Street gang? Pack of wolves? This might be a good time to talk about the time traveler character. We want to give him some depth. Why exactly would he spill the beans about main character becoming the next Hitler? Why was he unable to defeat main character? Sorry if these have been answered, but these things should probably be addressed.

Whoa, very interesting. I could definitely see the rise of liberalism (e.g. occupy wallstreet). The younger generation seems much more 'open minded'. I live in the bible belt, and, although very slowly, it is apparent that the younger generation is become more and more liberal. However, looking back at high school to today, it appears that higher education correlates to more liberal ideas. Well, I have definitely went off topic, but this is a pretty interesting conversation.

I've actually never heard of politics being a pendulum. Whenever I entered education, I heard that it was a pendulum over and over. More or less, it is a pendulum much the same way politics is one. Essentially, people believe that teachers are to blame for failing schools. Eventually people will most likely say, wait, let's more pressure on the parents! And then it will swing to them. Then, when we still don't have 100% passing rate for students, people will say, 'wait, it's the teacher's fault!', totally forgetting that the pressure was on them not very long ago. This idea pretty much applies to everything in education. From standardized testing to learning styles to all else.

It's so sad how true this is. But, as they say, education is supposedly a pendulum. I hope it will eventually swing in a way that makes sense.

My girlfriend and I were rooting for The Social Network all night. The King's Speech was by far too predictable and formulaic. There once was a king who couldn't talk well. He tried real hard and just couldn't do it. But then, when he needed to do really well at a particular speech, he tried really, really hard and he did good.

I wanted to like this movie so much. The seemed like it never really had any intention of being a legitimate horror movie, only a quirky comedy. I guess it just wasn't what I expected.

I've just discovered this story and I have only roughly skimmed a few of the drafts, but does anyone think it might be more interesting if the main character *wasn't* a cold sociopath? Don't get me wrong, the writing is gorgeous and captivating, but how long do you really want to read about someone just being mean and wanting to be the "next Hiter"? I think it would be interesting to see someone believing in a particular politically/religious ideology and -the first thing I think the story should do- convince the reader that the ideology, although flawed (like most ideologies) is a legitimate and somewhat superior one. The story could begin with the main character pursuing the his ideas and working to a positive future (much like Hitler believed he was doing). Then, out of the blue, the main character is attacked from the future-man and discovers that his ideas will corrupt him and will turn the world into a bleak horror show. Then, the main character would be torn to continue to pursue his dreams while trying to keep himself and his ideas in check or to scrap his passion and preserve the future. The story could continually bounce between the two prospects and then his ultimate rise to the Hitler-like leader. Maybe at the end of the story he could send the time traveler to assassinate himself to prevent such a terrible destiny (what a twist! /s). Looking back on this idea of my own, I'm not sure I like it much more, but what the hell I just typed all of that out so I'm going to submit the damn thing.

I believe another thing he took for granted: he thought Batman would really kill him. He wanted Batman to murder him at the end. Like he said, he knew that he couldn't defeat Batman in a fight, that's why he planned the boat situation. He really believed that Batman would take advantage of that fact and finish him, since he was responsible for Rachel's murder.

I know this gets thrown around too much nowadays, but Nolan really is a genius. He understands what it takes to make a good movie. A movie that will rake in the big bucks and will appeal the critics. The Dark Knight had the big bangs and flash (tractor trailer flipping), but it also had the heart (the analysis of good vs. evil vs. chaos). Right now it probably looks like The Dark Knight Rises will be all flash and bang because he (and the studios) know that is what it takes to bring in the money. I believe the way that he wants to go with this one is the true idea of evil. The Joker wasn't really evil, he was just pure chaos. He wanted to world to burn because he loved the chaos. Harvey Dent grew into true evil. He wanted revenge. He had **hate**. That is what takes evil. Deep hatred. I believe that two face was an introduction into what The Dark Knight Rises is going to be: about unadulterated, pure evil. Wanting the world to burn because you **hate** the world and everything about it. At least, that is what I hope the Dark Knight Rises will be about.

I've just recently graduated with a BA in Math and I want to get a masters in the field. However, I'm currently tied to my job (high school teacher) and I believe that I won't easily be able to afford and to relocate to a school.

I'm also planning on taking the math subject GRE in April, how hard is that going to be?
