Sure, this guy got his money back because he had the money to fight the case. Let's say a more "common" person was driving through the state with $5,000 in cash to buy a shittier car and that money had been saved up for months... that type of person can't afford to go back to TN to go to court or hire a lawyer. They are just shit out of luck. It is disgusting to imagine how often that's happened.
