I don't particularly like the CoD games, but I do not find this diagram particularly informative or substantial in any ways.

he had a very dark and unusual children's show a while ago. It was the kind of thing that was enjoyed by grown ups as much as kids, if not more. Pee Wee's Play House. Very odd and worth checking out if you've never encountered it. It's an experience.

Writers - what's your day job? by PrivateIronin writing

[–]shirgshirgden 1 point2 points ago

I work in a nursery school and tutor from time to time. I think working with really young kids is great for a hopeful writer. So many fantastic interactions and conversations. And tutoring is a good way to make a nice little extra chunk of change on the side, no matter what you are doing. And if you are an english or writing major, you could probably tutor english. All that being said, I really love working with kids, and if I didn't, then those jobs would suck. What matters is that you are doing something you enjoy that helps make some money, allows time for your writing, and ideally, helps inspire you as a writer and growing changing person.

What's one movie everybody loves that you can't stand? by logimanin AskReddit

[–]shirgshirgden -1 points0 points ago

Batman Begins. I know it did a lot for the super hero genre and it has been a while since I've seen it. But throughout the whole movie, I couldn't help but feel like everyone, especially Batman, was bashing the audience over the head with the concept of: an idea is more powerful than a man. It made me mad. I didn't get why all my friends liked it so much.

In fact, I just had an argument with one of my roommates about this. He majored in film in college and so thinks his thoughts on film are always right, even though they frequently shift and contradict each other. Someone brought up the dark knight and he started bashing it, saying that it wasn't actually very good and that Batman Begins was a better movie. I did what any rational person who loves batman would do and I started arguing for Dark Knight (I do not think The Dark Knight is the be all end all of Batman, but it certainly over shadows Batman Begins. right?) Then he started saying that he meant the script to Batman Begins was better and that it is hard to judge which movie has a better script just by watching the movie and not knowing the basics of script writing. I saw that I was going to hit a wall no matter what path I took, so I found that shitty Gerber brand machete I once bought on a whim from Sports Authority and hacked it into the back of his neck. Batman.
