Look man, some of these people are super fucking busy. I'm sorry that (for example) Louis CK came by to give absolutely hilarious answers to (mostly) boring-ass questions in exchange for taking the opportunity to remind of us the release dates of his forthcoming projects. THAT DUDE HAS LIKE SEVEN JOBS, MAN. How could he justify wasting a half a day on reddit when he could be doing his art and raising his family? Because promoting himself on reddit might get him some more scratch with which he can do more art and continue raising his family. Think about it.

In large classical ensembles you have hierarchy. The composer composes the piece and the conductor makes the decisions about that piece's interpretation. There is a tradition of playing standards one must adhere to to be accepted into a high quality ensemble. This produces a vast tradition of music that I find aesthetically compelling. There are other, less hierarchical ways of making music that simply cannot replicate the salient features of the European body of work (and vice versa, of course).

So yeah, it's a Dell laptop. I'm downgrading to XP and I want to wipe the main drive. I'm having performance problems that I can't diagnose and this reformat is a stopgap for getting a new PC. The question is: Dell automatically partitions the main drive to create a system restore drive. Maybe this factory partitioning is part of the problem? I kind of hoped I could hang onto this partition in case I bricked my machine. Thanks, any help is appreciated, gang.
