Ron Paul vs. Obama vs. Romney? A Ron Paul independent run would actually lead to a Romney victory. Discuss. by newpoliticsin politics

[–]sfudman -1 points0 points ago

Unknowable. It is unknown if Romney can win a 2 way election. It can not be determined if a third party candidacy is a leading factor of Romney's potential upset.

Also, every vote is earned.

Why do so many people have issues with socialized medicine without expanding the philosophy in protest of socialized warfare? by osteranderin politics

what if i told you that the usa was a private entity, and its owners do have private warfare. they simply swindle the tax payer and bond investors for the cash.

just some random thoughts:

If he isn't winning, what difference is it to you if he continues to waste his supporters money? You are scared that the political philosophy that he is educating people about will become popular. Why shouldn't he allow his supporters in all states get the chance to vote for him? Why should your boredom be the only definition of boredom allowed? many people are exited about his campaign.

Did you know that the first abolitionist party candidates in the united states only got 5% of the vote when running for state offices. 30 years later slavery was constitutionally banned. They changed the debate. The same can be said for the woman's suffrage party. got some votes, changed the debate, then the major parties adopted the idea into their platform to get support from those voters.

Plenty of people wanted obama to drop out in 2008 because "hillary is obviously the candidate, obama is just dividing the party".

the last death throes of a failed movement is to tell opposing views to shut up, you lost now therefore you have lost forever.

Do you really think economics is a zero sum game? Was there the same wealth in the world 10,000 years ago as there is today?

so now you've changed your criteria to boring AND unsuccessful. And you are choosing your own criteria for success.

12 term congressman that is a national celebrity. his son is a US senator. millions in campaign donations, millions of supporters that are now getting involved in local and state politics. Creating awareness about a political philosophy that is intentionally ignored and censored by corporate news organizations.

I also think you are threatened by the movement he started.

Twelve more billionaires have signed Bill Gates' "Giving Pledge," in which they commit to giving away a substantial portion of their wealth via philanthropy. The total is now 81 pledges. by AyeMateyin news

I wish we "all" decided where the money goes, but that's kinda-sorta an idealistic representation of how tax revenue is spent. There's been a lot of news about these expensive middle east adventures the last decade, for example. what we "all" define as good can be just as subjective as what an individual might define as good.

Is money property or speech? by vdirequestin Libertarian

If someone damaged or vandalized the billboard, or prevented me from owning a billboard, or confiscated the billboard because I own too many billboards, would you consider that a form of censorship?

Also, you did not explain why the information on the billboard is not property. You simply made the claim with out explaining.

Is a billboard property or speech? It can be both.

You are advocating killing those who have not harmed others simply because the "correct" paperwork is completed.

You remind me of someone living in the southern united states 100 years ago that supported the lynching of black people that looked at white women: "Its against the law for niggers to look at white women, and after a fair trial we should execute them to protect white people from the violent nigger culture".

your original post claimed that people should be executed. thats pretty fucking violent. If someone wanted to execute you, would you feel threatened?
