LPT Request: How to handle warm weather better by NJloin LifeProTips

[–]serviceenginesoon 0 points1 point ago

Yes, they do this in the desert. I believe It works like this . Your body temperature is 98 Degrees, So when you have a cold drink your body works more and becomes warmer trying to turn that cold drink into warm. So having a warmer drink will not make your body work so much. Add a cold cloth on the neck if your by the pool, lake or tailgating

Also try simmering a good amount of butter then add bread crumbs so its got a nice fluid thickness and after you take out broccoli or cauliflower, drip it on the top of it. It will lightly harden on it, and be delicious.

Record Industry Association of America claims it is owed $72 trillion dollars by LimeWire ... Dismissed as "absurd." by smac22in politics

If an artist or band gets say a 1.00 an album and the rest goes to the label, not to mention how bigger contracts could have a band sign a contract saying that when they go on tour they will use a certain ticket company, venues, catering, buses, which may be seem nice but then that allows them to make contracts with those companies to insure business, but at a much cheaper rate for the company at the same time charging the artist the face value. not the pro rated price. An artist could easily come out of a big tour tens of thousands actually in debt. If you look at that and that they are targeting people that don't know that business, ...get a lawyer you say, well, not to many bands have the money for a good lawyer , manager. I don't know if that is technically fraudulent, but it sounds like it to me. I'm sure others would just call it good business.

How about because their big lobby group pushed for performance rights act tax on radio stations. Also helping to launch an investigation from the fcc to investigate stations that were boycotting the tax by not playing artist who supported it. It claims to try to help and promote artist creativity, but makes them jump through hoops and only allowed to be played under certain circumstances. Heck, what is wrong if I made a pod cast/radio show playing licensed music , like my own radio station. Why can't I do that> How is that helping artist?

How about counter claims for wrongful lawsuits.

extending the 50 year on owning music.

Being a monopoly. It claims to distribute 85 % of all legitimate music in USA It also claims to help the creativity of Artist which it most certainly does not. Seems the riaa protects the recording Industry and they are notorious for taking way to much money from bad contracts , putting artist more in debt, sometimes ending their careers, throwing them into massive debt

Half of metro Atlanta mortgagees underwater by GentleCoatHangerin Atlanta

You could try a short sale. I have a friend in the metro area that is selling her house for a loss of over $100,000 . Her house has been under contract since Feburary, but the bank won't sign off on it. She has a lawyer now. I believe she is trying to do a short sale to help cover all the loss. Apparently the bank can sue her for up to a year after if they want. Don't understand though. Not cool at all, she's a great gal.
