Walden Farms is the only thing you'll find that's low-cal and low-carb, but it's total space food, basically composed of chemicals. I use full fat dressing and just measure out an exact tablespoon. Yeah, it's usually 120 calories, but the flavor is amazing if you've been eating low-fat for years.

I didn't like The Matrix either. I actually walked out of the movie theater telling my friends that Dark City was a superior film and I was perplexed by the popularity. I think people who saw it as children probably think of it as a "classic," I happen to be old enough to have seen it as a young adult. Wasn't a fan. The special effects are great and the plot is okay, but it was pretty darn cheesy all in all.

I couldn't get into Bicycle Thieves, a critically-acclaimed Italian movie. I laughed through the first part of Titanic (I'm a girl) and I didn't love Pan's Labyrinth as much as other people.

There's no standard meal plan that I know of and it would be difficult to create one because a lot depends on your budget, location, and taste.

The easiest and cheapest breakfast is eggs. Eggs alone or with bacon, sausage (check carbs on label), and/or cheese. A spinach omelet is pretty easy- just crack two or three eggs in a pan and lay some spinach leaves on top of the egg. Fold over and cook thoroughly. I always eat the same salad for lunch because it's easy to take to work- it's romaine, spinach, cheese, and one tbsp of full-fat dressing. I also take a piece of meat, usually whatever I have leftover from dinner, or a can of tuna. Dinner is easy- piece of meat and a keto-friendly vegetable. I like broccoli, asparagus, and cauliflower. Keto requires some prep work, consistent grocery shopping, and cooking. These are good life habits to cultivate anyway, especially if you're a convenience person.

Net carbs are carbs minus fiber. Example: 1 ounce of almonds has 6 grams of carbohydrates and 3 grams of fiber. Net carbs will be 3. Put a fiber column on your My Fitness Pal diary so you can calculate your net carbs.

Read about macronutrients in the FAQ here. Join MyFitnessPal and change your goal settings so you can see how many calories you're getting from fat, protein, and carbs every day.

It's probably a good idea to check out other people's pages on MFP to see what they eat every day. I don't think mine is a great example (my carbs are around 30 instead of 20), but it will give you some idea of keto-friendly foods.

My favorite snacks are string cheese and almonds. I usually get the 100-calorie packs of almonds so I don't binge. Another easy snack is cuts of meat (like turkey or salami lunch meat) with some nice cheese. I find I have to limit condiments, like salad dressing, because they tend to be high in calories and not terribly filling. Hope this helps a bit!

I've always thought thin but "facially disadvantaged" women had it better than me, a heavier girl. I was always stumped by the attention from men that my objectively unattractive friends received while I was generally invisible. However, I can see that any physical state will have disadvantages and I don't think this should turn into some one-upping contest over who has it the worst.

I think we can all agree this world is far too focused on outward appearance and it's frustrating trying to get people to acknowledge your inner beauty and talent.

This is my second Mother's Day after the loss of my son who was stillborn at 35 weeks. No one else is going to acknowledge it tomorrow, not even my closest family members. I think it's far more awkward acting like he never existed, but other people don't seem to understand that. So THANK YOU.

I eat flax pancakes or a flax muffin almost every day for breakfast and it has kept me pretty regular. Flax pancakes are super easy: 1 egg, 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds (or buy the meal), bit of baking powder and splenda. Mix, let it sit for a minute or so, and cook like a pancake in a pan. It makes two little pancakes or one big one. I usually spread a bit of cream cheese or butter on top.

Coconut oil also seems to keep things moving.

I don't do IF because I get hungry every three to four hours, keto or not. I can be eating a sufficient number of calories, fat, protein, less than 20 carbs, 100+ ounces of water, and the hunger does not subside. Everyone is different, maybe IF is not for you. It's possible you're hypoglycemic, have you ever tested your blood sugar?

In my last neighborhood, there was a fellow named Dennis. He was very thin, bald, and approximately 40 years old. He would constantly walk around the neighborhood pushing buggies with dolls or stuffed animals while wearing a variety of strange outfits. I'm talking hot pink spandex with mismatched prints here. One day I saw him riding a bike wearing an easter bunny suit with a stuffed animal hanging out of the bike basket. Apparently his wacky outfits were acquired at a neighborhood thrift store. He would walk in and literally exchange/trade the clothing off of his back on a regular basis.

I drink less water when I drink diet soda. Being on a low-carb, low-calorie diet, I HAVE to drink a ton of water so soda just won't work for me. I do however drink La Croix sparkling water as a treat. They're zero calories, have no sodium, and are naturally flavored.

Yes! I've had some variation of this haircut more times than I can count. I have fine hair and most hairdressers can't layer it properly.

THIS was my worst haircut. It was uneven so I went back to the salon. I didn't see the hairdresser so I assumed someone else would fix it. She came out of nowhere saying "I'll fix!" and dragged me to her chair. The picture is the end result. I cried for three days and spent $75 on clip-in extensions to hide the disaster. This was six years ago and I still go six months to a year without haircuts because no one can cut it properly. I've taken in pictures of MYSELF with my best haircut and no one can replicate it.
