I really wish you weren't so right on all this. In my sociology course my last semester of college, we identified all these issues in the straight community as contributing factors to the oppression and prevention of progress of the LGBT community.

I can't buy my girlfriend flowers or take someone out to dinner without them thinking it's just to get in their pants. I had no idea gay men had to face this as well, tough world.

It's an unbearably awful reality. To want to express joy toward someone else without it being sexually charged… people just don't believe it's possible.

It is my experience that there seems to be two type of gay men

Now, I wouldn't go so far as to say the flamboyant gay men are harming gay rights (because in all honesty, fuck all if men can't wear skirts and heels!), but what does harm the cause is when men overtly curse out their straight brethren. Then and only then do I believe that being a "femme" guy (or really that trait to be found in anybody) is harmful.
