Just come, we'll see ::)

Right now we have 5 squads inside the club : * Hairy Crabs (1st squad, 15s/10s) * Hermits (2nd squad, 15s/10s) * Freshies (1st year in the club, 15s/10s) * Horseshoe crabs (veterans 15s) * Jenny crabs (women 7s contact)

It's pretty easy to find a spot for any kind of player, we even have people that never played. Just come around this weekend and ask for Stefan (me)

No problem here, French always have a hard time in the rugby world despite being at the level with any other big country of rugby. All the "stand up if you hate the French" from HK 7s or jokes in the Crabs despite composing more than a third of the squad won't tame my love for the game ::p

I see more as jealousy because on top of our very special flair, well, we get the ladies!

We have team jerseys that we sell. If you want to see some of our jerseys you can check them at the Big Bamboo on Nanyang lu (they've been sponsoring us for several years now).

If you want to get introduced to that gentleman activity, you should come around (not mentioning the drinking and the huge green space that we can freely enjoy!)

Saw your ad on craigslist and sent a mail but no answer yet. I'm interested by that little fellow.

This was my third year and this is definitely one of the best tours for us EVERY YEAR!!

well 10s is kind of in-between 15s and 7s, so you still have breakout phases, rucks and real scrums from 15s but the defense is key and the game is quite fast paced like in 7s.

As a 15s player, I can cope with 10s but feels like 7s is a complete different game.

I think that we have a lot of 10s in Asia because it's a middle ground between 15s (classic foreigner style) and 7s (mix between olympics and number of local potential players).

We actually created a 10s league in China and are playing our first rounds this weekend in Shanghai (Beijing played them two weeks ago). I'll post some updates if people are interested ::)

We even managed to go through the tournament without taking one single point. Quite a clean win ::)

anyone knows any good private or public clinic/hospital in shanghai without scary price for foreigners? by android7in shanghai

+1 for ruijin hospital, officials go there and they have an international branch as well

Visiting Beijing and Xiamen...looking to meet some folks by carter1984in China

If you are in Xiamen the weekend of the 12, there is a nice 10s rugby competition on the oldest rugby pitch of China on Gulangyu island. This rugby festival is followed by an epic beach party. I'm playing for the Shanghai hairy crabs (it is a special delicacy over here) and we're going there en masse.

Trying to find a sifu in Shanghai by sberderin WingChun

I try to find a place that could be recommended, like anywhere else it should be fairly easy to find a martial center but I'd like to find a good one.

A list of my favorite commandline tricks, hope you like them! by carlesfein commandline

As complement of the '<<<', I usually use the good old cat + EOF to do kind of the same thing but with formatted input.

$ cat <<EOF >file
whatever you want here
and more
EOF

So I got into a pretty dangerous situation in Beijing by gusenbauerin China

General rule of self defence, do not carry any weapon you don't know how to use properly. General rule in China, do not carry a weapon at all. Police will generally hardly side with you, don't make it easier for them.

Thanks, very interesting read, I'll incorporate some of this in my training.

I have the mental, I really push it hard, I just can't seem to see any improvement. I can do 25/30 quality push ups in under a minute but then I quickly slow down and the last 3-4 are made out of mental. Everything else in that test is easy for me except for that (I'm playing full back).

In a Championship Final tomorrow. What do the rest of you guys do to prepare yourself for the really big matches? by cjhazzain rugbyunion

So you're playing in Hong Kong (HKCC I think). Would you be interested in touring in China? (Shanghai Hairy Crabs here)

Des blagues by joseqhin france

[–]sberder 10 points11 points ago*

C'est un p'tit fien (the trick here is that "canif" in French means pocket knife and "caniche" is a poodle, so you replace the "ch" in "chien" by "f" and you have a word trick that does not mean anything but is kind of funny)
("PLOUF" is an onomatopoeia that represents the sound of something falling in a liquid. Would be kind of the equivalent of "SPLASH" in English)
  • Quelle est la différence entre un canard? Les deux pattes se ressemblent, surtout la gauche.
  • Qu'est-ce que c'est qu'une nife? Ben c'est la maison du p'tit fien ("niche" is kennel, to be used with the "canif" joke but said apart)

Edit: format and typo

I am shamelessly stealing this outfit. What shoes do you think would complete the look? by greiigin malefashionadvice

[–]sberder 1 point2 points ago

I think his chinos are dark brown, which would actually make more sense in this outfit than navy imho.
