I miss him, but I wouldn't say that Norv is a horrible coach either. The Chargers for some reason seem to be a perpetually young team, and thus always seemed to respond and be driven more by emotion than anything else. And Marty was an emotional guy, who treated the players like sons. I think GM AJ Smith brought Norv in because he recognized that passion can only get you so far and wanted to infuse the team with a more cerebral, calculated attitude. I think the strategy will pay off in the long run, but we've sacrificed some of the energy and fire that the team had when Marty was the coach.

As for Michael Turner vs. LT, absolutely. But at the time, LT was...c'mon he was LT. He was only a couple years removed from his record-breaking season. Nobody foresaw him hitting the wall like he did. But I would have loved to see the Burner stay. Him and Tolbert in the backfield? Whew...we would have just pounded the ball until the other team gave up.
