Yuck. What a way to blow a weekend. My building just did this. Just do what others are saying here - recent full backups and spare harddrives. Don't forget to turn off the UPSs, either. You don't want them to drain to nothing. If the power bounces when it comes back up, you'll want some reserves.

I use AppRiver, so I keep the bulk of the SPAM control on their infrastructure. It sends the users a held SPAM report daily, and they can release/whitelist email as needed.

Yeah, you have to do a cost of living analysis. Making $70k/yr in Dallas is good, but if you move to LA to make $100k, your standard of living will go way down (longer commute times, way higher housing costs, higher fuel prices, etc...).
