haha thanks! I've used a bc108 fuzz (what he used on the solo) and my bug muff for the solo and you can get that tone relatively easy with the muff. But the fuzz with some delay is the closest to the original tone I've ever gotten, very fun to use also!

I hate to be that guy... but in the Time solo that's a fuzzface. Comfortably Numb is a good example for a Big Muff, but they're pretty similar regardless. Good post btw!

I found a Russian Big Muff at Guitar Center, believe it or not, for 70 dollars. I bought it, no questions asked

If I remember right, this is at their show in Indianapolis. I had a friend who went to it and he told me there was a Barney play in the theater next to where they played.

I agree. Run Like Hell is my favorite song to play on guitar, it's probably the most exciting. Especially the live version, just hearing Gilmour go down the fretboard with all the delay is just awesome.

One thing to note is the similarity of this song, and "Time". The beat and the guitar rhythm is very similar. Love this song!

Listen to new music. I like bluesy guys myself, one of my major influences was SRV, and when I listened to Pink Floyd, I fell in love with Gilmour's bluesy/spacey guitar playing. I recommend, if you already haven't, to listen to him! Very fun and relatively easy to play, also. Listen to this, it's my favorite solo by him.

I personally love the solo in Time, very expressive and I think Gilmour's best, (in my opinion). The 3rd guitar solo in Dogs is one of my favorites too, the "dry" one. And of course Shine on, and Comfortably numb (I prefer live at pulse version)

Time is my absolute favorite solo to play. Also listen to the Pulse and Live at Gdansk versions, they're equally as great!

Yeah I put a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 into my bridge pickup, I love it. Gets a great Gilmour tone.

Thanks, it really bums me out because so many other bands had a bunch of footage, but that time period seems to be a black hole in terms of video for them
