I mainly just wanted Reddit to take a good, hard, long look at itself. Sexism isn't solved by a long shot. But at least 80% of this thread was complete bullshit. Everyone tries to ignore it and act like Reddit isn't rife with hate. Let this serve as an example.

Contrary to popular belief, I do value and appreciate the posts that offered legitimate advice in a calm manner. They'll reap karma in real life.

"I'm gonna try not to make this too long, but it's 4 in the morning, I've spent the whole night thinking about this mess, and I don't know what else to do. You guys are pretty cool at listening, and maybe someone out there will have some advice.

My wife (of seven years) came to me last night and gave me an ultimatum. Said she either wanted an open relationship or a divorce. I can't stand the thought of losing her, but it makes me sick to think she'd sleep with other men. We have two kids (aged 2 and 6) that are wrapped up in all this. I know I should just leave, but goddamnit I really loved her and I love my kids. I loved this family and now it's being ripped out from under me. I'm so angry and disgusted with her. Divorce is expensive and I'm afraid of what life will be like if she gets the kids.
