I mean, it's one thing to say that the amount of sexism being claimed in the workplace is ridiculous, which I would agree with since the 77% statistic is obviously bullshit. It's another thing to try to pretend there are no sexist people at all out there. I'd guess that most of the people holding back women are either other women or older men, but they still exist and I imagine they outnumber the femnazi bosses who try to hold men back. I just wish this subreddit were more of a discourse on how to make things equal than people feeling they have to prove that no woman is disadvantaged in any way ever. There are things in our society that are unfair for both genders, and it would be infinitely easier if both sides claiming to be for equality weren't constantly ignoring the inequities faced by the other.

I'm pretty open with my friends and family about my mens rights views as well as my atheism and have had 0 people try to openly insult or shame me about them. A large part of how people are going to react to you comes down to the way you say things, not the things you say. You can't argue people out of their beliefs, I have always found it infinitely more beneficial to show myself to be a reasonable person, present my beliefs in a calm and non-aggressive manner, and then allow other people to come to their own conclusions. The nature of attacking someone's beliefs is that they will get defensive, so instead of hearing and understand your point they are just focused on blindly defending theirs.

I think it's ridiculous to claim there are no bosses who would hold women back based on their gender, some of those bosses are probably even women. Obviously 2% is a more reasonable figure for the effect that these people have on the wages of women than the ridiculous 23% people throw around, but I don't think it's correct to say there is no wage gap at all.

I won my elementary school geography bee in 5th grade, beating out the heavily favored 6th graders. That was also the year I got my only homerun in my baseball career (really a single followed by 3 errors, but whatever) and scored one of the only goals of my 15 year youth soccer career.
