What? I know that the ancient ramp give horrible vision but the other ramp is much closer to rosh than radiant's ramp is. For example if you imagine none of the teams have wards. Would you rather go to rosh as Radiant, facing a potential lost teamfight because they rush you from the left ramp, or would you go as Dire and leave one on the left ramp to have vision to the right rune?

If we consider both having wards, dire got a ward on the cliff next to the right rune and radiant got a ward on the left ramp. How is radiant gonna engage? As Dire on roshan you got a lot of time seeing them coming. If Radiant is on Roshan and you play Dire, you can come from 2 directions AND you can blink in from the trees at tier 1 mid tower/secret shop/ancients.

Believe what you want, I got 4-5 years of experience of dota/hon/dota2 and I disagree.

No it isn't? I didn't watch the video but if someone clearly did a big mistake and ran into my car I probably would've wanted money to fix it. It doesn't really matter what happened to the other since it was their fault.

Radiant basically can pegged down Dire because when Dire losing early map control they will have no easy way to reach Roshan without winning a teamfight.

This is just an unfair statement. You have to compare Dire losing early map control with Radiant losing early map control. Of course Radiant gets rosh advantage if Dire loses early map control!

With that being said, losing early map control as Radiant is a nightmare. If you lose your mid tower as Radiant and they still got theirs, they can easily sneak into roshan in a few seconds while you can't do the same as Radiant in a reversed scenario.

Matchmaking isn't implemented yet and all that's currently in place is a very raw framework with only three skill categories.

I'm almost certain that they use the hidden ratings for matching players and not only the 3 skill categories.

So my guess is that you first bet 1 dollar, then 2 dollar, then 4 dollar... 2^n, n = {0,1,2,3,...}. Say you have 1000 dollar. log2(1000) ~ 9 meaning you can gamble 9 times if you lose every time before you're broke. The odds of that happening is (1/2)⁹ = 1/512. So 1 in 512 times you lose 1000 dollars, and 511 in 512 times you win 1 dollar.

tl dr; you lose in the long run, if anyone wanna correct me - go ahead.
