I think your only option at this point is to find a TRRS 3,5mm connection and try to find an app that aloows recording through an external mic.

I travelled down this road a couple of months back. I connected my usb blue yeti mic diect to my sgs2, found a forum on xda which tells you where to create seudo driver files. What i found was; we are still waiting for proper usb drivers from google fir ics, the manufacturer needs to make linux drivers and host mode must be enabled to power a device up to 100mah (i think). Long story short, it killed my micro usb and had to get my phone replaced.

Love it. Would even pay 0.99 for it. Only thing I have to mention is UI. Definitely move the across arrow toggles to the bottom of the screen.

I used to work in graphic design but have never done anything for Android, but if you like I may be able to help you out with the UI.

It will run on 64bit windows, however doesn't use all capabilities of the 64bit architecture, instead just 32 bit (which IMHO, is a complete unseen difference with this type of software).

I did say "possibly" just in case... cos you know, it is possible they could release it all at the same time. Especially since 3 months ago they said they would have a final release for android. It seams maybe they have held off to launch it all at once?

EDIT: wait a minute - what's going on here? the article suggests that vlc 2.0 will be released this week and will be ported to android. I titled "VLC 2.0 will be ported to Android, possibly this week". The article does not suggest otherwise. I don't understand what I've done wrong, maybe instead of flaming, someone could tell me what I should have done?
