Me and my brother had handcuffs when we were little. It was to play with. They were real metal handcuffs sold as toys. therefore, I don't see a kid playing with handcuffs as a big deal.

There's an easy fix, if they don't want to vote Dem and don't like the Republicans on a ballot, they could just not vote. Democrats have been doing that for years now with amazing results. They're not exactly positive results but quite effective.

Bank Fees Push Consumers to Put Money Elsewhere: Livonia, Mich.-based Co-Op Services Credit Union has begun a "Shred My Card" campaign offering $105 to people who open a free checking account with a direct deposit and who cut up their bank debit card by maxwellhillin politics

still, it's decentralized banking which is better than the current more popular options so credit unions should be taking advantage of the situation. It would be dumb not to.

I believe it's $14 a month right now for one radio then discounts if you add more radios. Some people balk at paying for radio when you can get FM for free but it's exactly like cable tv and people seem to enjoy that.

well sinking to the level of third world countries doesn't really help. I wonder if jobs being shipped overseas runs rampant in Western Europe as well since people are generally paid better than in the US.

satellite radio in the car

I've had it for about 5 or 6 years now and there have been times when the radio broke and I had to go back to listening to FM for a few weeks or a month before i got around to replacing the radio. I can't believe i used to listen to that shit on the regular and the majority of people know nothing better. Especially the ones listening to the pop stations and drinking all their kool-aid about what 'good' music is or who the cool people are. I like a certain percentage of pop music but those FM stations and their DJs are the fucking devil.

I"m going to cross-post this petition here because it's somewhat relevant but overall the US is still in the '30s when it comes to labor laws. It's not just the govt or corporations that have made it this way. A lot of American workers have just totally accepted it and don't want anything more. When you tell people they should have more vacation, more sick days or be paid for overtime even if they are salary, they look at you as if you just have the silliest ideas.

Big Food makes Big Finance look like amateurs: 3 firms process 70% of US beef; 87% of acreage dedicated to GE crops contained crops bearing Monsanto traits; 4 companies produced 75% of cereal and snacks... by maxwellhillin politics

[–]reallybigshark 0 points1 point ago

It's really easy to fight big food, grow your own. Get out there, get some land and grow your own or purchase from those that do. People in rural and suburban/rural areas are best suited to this but there are a million resources for being self-sufficient on just a 1/2 or quarter acre. People in the city have fewer options but they do still have options although I have found that most people in the city could care less about where their food comes from and more about where the night life is. Food production needs to be decentralized fix these sort of problems but the majority of the population has to want it for it to happen.

Has anyone heard of this website? It's like if all the fox news readers got together and decided to be dumb and misinformed in a whole new place. I found it on Facebook. It saddens me how many people liked their page and how ridiculous the comments are on there. I assume there are other Facebook pages like this out there and I have just not found them yet, right??
