Oh, it was totally a judgmental gift. I gave my mom and dad a list of things to do to be cooler parents. This was only part of it. (My parents liked it, which probably means they're aware of their un-coolness. I think they were just happy to get something personalized.)

I took the original screen cap from my Apple Mail app, and I took this one, from Gmail, as added verification when questioned. I'd be happy to provide any proof you'd like. (As long as it doesn't involve exposing my mom to the horrors of Reddit.) I honestly had no idea I would get so many upvotes, and if I was going to fake it, I don't think I would have written it so cheesily (sorry, Mom).

I worried about people thinking that. I actually gave my mom Arrested Development DVDs for Xmas as well (I know, aren't I great? lol). The fact is, A) I kept telling my mom she should stop watching Whitney and B) My mom kind of just types like a dork.
