What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7in AskReddit

When I used to work at GS, we wouldn't even run Norton to fix alleged viruses, we'd simply tell someone that it was impossible to be sure they were safe without a restore. Oh, you haven't backed up? We can charge you for that. Oh, you don't have restore disks? We can charge you to make them. OK, now we'll delete everything on your computer and make it a pain in the ass to get things back to how you liked them. You're welcome. That'll be $500 (which you could have bought a new computer for).

I hated myself when I worked there, because you're taking advantage of people who don't know any better.

Which TV show styles or cliches are you sick of? I'm sick of the mockumentary confessionals being used where they don't belong ... by ragabooin AskReddit

Discovery and History really disturb me. Channels start with good intentions, and then they try something outside of their scope, it catches on, and they latch onto it and change all of their programming to mirror that. MTV was another example of this. They were awesome when they were focused on music, but then they had all of the Real World bullshit and changed direction, so they moved music to MTV2. Then MTV2 changed direction and moved music to ... whatever was after that, I don't even know.

All of it? No exceptions? For instance, Mythbusters is technically a reality show. Obviously The Bachelor/ette are horrible excuses for entertainment.

One of the major reasons I don't like The Big Bang Theory as much as I probably could.

Easily the best set of songs posted here so far (for my tastes, at least). Still not sure I dig it, but these have the best chance of converting me. I'll keep listening. Particularly to Skyzoo. Thanks for taking the time to post these =]

See, now this sounds like something I could appreciate. Not digging on anything posted here yet (although I'm still going through some). Do you have any links to recommendations?

Why are spoken words more impressive to you than words that are sung? Seems much easier to me. And I'd argue that rock drums have intra-song variation, while rap drum beats are intentionally monotonous. Seems like a peculiar point for you to make regarding the drums.

That's kinda what I said above, actually. I'd love to be able to enjoy rap, so I'm looking for some justification to and some examples of rap I could listen to without wanting to immediately kill myself and others around me.

(Excuse the hyperbole, I really am hoping to gain an appreciation.)

It's funny, I was going to mention Dubstep as another example of a genre I don't get, lol

But upvote for examples/links, for sure. That's what I'm looking for =]

Any particular song you'd suggest?

There's an assumption here regarding the quality of the music.

So it's like beer, how most people hate it until they drink it enough simply to fit in, and then they start "liking" it?

I'm mostly rock. An example of lyrics I think are superb are those from either The Shins or Muse, and there's a ton of both musical and vocal talent in both of those bands.

Hrm ... the lyrics in this aren't half bad. I've still heard much better in other musical genres, but I suppose this isn't horrible. The orchestra makes it much better, but it's still a bit monotonous ... :/

I agree about the match percentages. I've met two 95%+ers and they were horrible dates. I met a girl from POF who messaged me and had no profile filled out, and we hit it off incredibly well and dated for a while, even though we had some of my "big" things out of common. She later joined OkCupid, and she was a 60%er who I never would have contacted.

I even included a model in my picture, showing the appropriate way to interact with someone wearing this dress. I'm fucking helpful.
