Hey cappers, is the Reach perk really worth not having +10 energy?

I'm usually the only one playing defense on my team in a pub, and I play as HOF which is essentially fully upgrade (force field, mines, super heavy, safety third perk for more mines...). And I like to think I play pretty good defense. I average 15-20 kills a game.

I can tell you from experience, Reach perk pisses me off more than anything in the game.

If this guy thinks that playing football takes away your ability to think, he has clearly never played a down on the grid-iron. Sure you get a set play that has been selected by an offensive coordinator/head coach, but it's up to the players to execute the play, and plays change depending on what the defense is showing.

I'm sure Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would LOVE to have a conversation with this dude about football's creativity.

I play doombringer a lot now, and wanted the mines so bad. I was saving up for 100k xp, and was at about 30k when they went on sale on the Deal of the Day. Got them for dirt cheap. They were something like 270GP when I only had 320 left. Totally worth it

I woke up last Saturday morning, grabbed a cup of coffee and hopped on Tribes. When I opened the game up, the mines were on the deal of the day. I got them for like 250XP when I only had 290XP left. This after I had saved up about 35k towards buying them outright.

Game has never been the same. Doombringer is so much more fun with mines

I never understood this. Just like I dont understand why some people brush their teeth while in the shower. The only concrete reason I get for either one (pissing or brushing) is that it 'saves time.'

you still have to stop washing yourself and take the time to aim for the drain, or in the case of brushing your teeth, you have to stop cleaning your body to brush your teeth. Both of which can be done in the places their supposed to be fucking done.

having some kind of one-off EMP pulse that eats up all your energy but pushes people off of the flag/eats up their energy would be sweet.

maybe not doing any damage, as that may be over-powered. but is basically a flag-stand clearing device.

edit: would make for some awesome well-timed moments. wait for an incoming flag grabber, and at the last second fire off the blast, knocking them completely off angle.

Episode 2 is 5 years old. Typically games that old tend to not hold much weight against graphics of the present.

Considering Steam is an 'out-dated' engine, Portal 2 looked pretty damn good when it was released last year, though.
