Good, exactly what our offense is missing...an quick but undersized receiver who can rack up YAC when he finally catches the damn ball.

2015...haven't you seen back to the future?

So after watching the super bowl, one thing becomes incredibly apparent. by AquaPigeonin CHIBears

He did, but he and the offense could not get over the hump against elite defenses -- like the Packers, the Steelers. We wouldn't have won. This years' offense, however, would've easily thrashed both Steelers and Patriots. I don't think we could've slowed Brady down though. The Giants D-Line and Secondary are just far superior to ours.

At that moment I thought I would win. All downhill from there...fortunately (or not) I slept through the second half with a concussion and violent cold. I guessed the next morning when I hadn't been woken by screams and cheers in my dorm that we had not won. :(

Why is okay for a church to deny marriage to a homosexual, but not an adulterer, divorcee, or parent to a child born out of wedlock? by hsmith711in Christianity

[–]pygreg 1 point2 points ago

I agree with the point you're trying to make. However, y guess is in most churches' eyes they aren't really comparable situations. They wouldn't really consider homosexual marriage as "marriage" at all, so it's not that they're being denied or disqualified something that others still get, but they're just not capable of entering into marriage in the first place.

God didn't save me just to snatch me out of the world. He has stuff for me to do here. Seems like that would be kinda cutting him short.

Yeah that is definitely a hurdle. I'm thankful the organization I work for (a college ministry) gets its financial resources from those not involved in the ministry...I can walk that line a lot easier and teach on generosity and stewardship without worrying about people judging me.

Is the goal of being "saved" really about going to heaven, or is it about being saved from death and a cycle of primal human instincts? by partofaplan2in Christianity

[–]pygreg 2 points3 points ago

I don't think being "saved" is really about going to Heaven at all. God doesn't really talk about taking people up to some tripped out paradise all that often. Mostly he seems concerned with keeping his promise to renew all things by making a new heavens and a new Earth, and how His followers can live in such a way that spreads that renewal even now.

Not a young receiver who will need time to adjust to the NFL and may never pan out. Not a guy who can't stay out of legal trouble. I want a receiver who has an instant impact, not a 20th-pick guy. I want a free agent. Then use our first round pick on a defensive stud so we can start rebuilding that side of the ball...ideally a corner.
