I think he was implying you may have wasted some EV's while leveling it up. Not a big deal, I'd be happy with any shiny pokemon with a favorable nature. I caught an adamant gold magikarp once.

Yes. Don't do it unless you're willing to spend time and money buying keys and hoping for a rare and valuable unusual. Even in the off chance to do get an unusual, it might be crappy and not worth enough to cover the cost of keys you used. That said, if you have enough money you can continue uncrating until you get one that is worth more than you paid for in keys, but this takes a while and costs you a lot of money, and most people give up way before then.

When you're commuting on a train, bus, or subway, I look around the car or first few seats and imagine I'm in some apocalyptic scenario, like a zombie outbreak, and these people are the party I'm traveling with. You have to guess people's skills and experience based on what you can observe about what they're wearing, what their athletic build is, etc.

Get good grades, and really try to get into a good college/university. It doesn't mean everything, but it's hard to be successful if you don't like the college you're attending.

Talk to girls. Tryout for sports. Try some clubs.

Khan Academy is incredibly useful.

There's a also a couple of interesting, but not entirely helpful for teaching, videos that teach calculus on youtube, like the one that covers everything in 20 minutes

The Strange Festive Rocket Launcher and Strange Festive Medigun are nice! But Since these will probably go first, the Taunt: Director's Version or a Wrap Assassin or Description Tag is nice.
