The Perfected Self -- Once denounced by critics as a fascist idea, "behavior modification" is making a comeback, powered by smartphone apps that aim to transform us into better versions of ourselves. by JeromeTomorrowin science

Addictions rewrite the want/need parts of the brain. What you want and what you need become blurred or swap. So now you want heroin not food or alcohol not your family.

hay[sic]. if youd [sic] eva [sic] sean [sic] blackadder, than [sic] youd [sic] no[sic] thatt[sic] isthe[sic] poynt[sic].

It can't be a ceasefire because the war wasn't over in 1917. I made a few typos in my first message - on my phone at 3am. One was the year that Baldric said. As we all know WWI ended on what became Armistice Day 1918, 11am 11th November in a train carriage in the same place that Hitler demanded the surrender of France be signed in 1940. Called Armistice day in the Anglo nations except america where its called Veteran's Day and a public holiday.

But quite a few other people decided the gist of the comment was adequate for comprehension....

I've discovered (I think) I hate math. Should I give up on my pursuit of a website development degree? by Lucaviousin AskReddit

Good! Get some fire. Can't wallow because something is hard.

And you said you thought 'maths' was a joke. Better to say 'I don't know because i'm not an expert in English.' Wouldn't I look weird if I said 'yeah these 'z's in 'realized' are like a meme'? Yes I would.

Well do you want to be a quitter or not? Many of your responses are 'woe is me, I can't do math'. But you clearly can. So only you can determine if you want to be a doer or a quitter. There is also not much maths involved in either you course or your career.

And I'm serious about the not knowing about how other people speak English makes you look unsophisticated. You either expose yourself to greater external influences or you will look insular.

Sooo... Get the work experience or learn a new trade? People do it all the time. It's to cut the wheat from the chaff.

Also the embassy is not your friend on this - they are busy. You want an Australian migration agent. There are some in most countries. Or you can call one here I think.

With comments like that people will think you're stupid. At first I thought 'well maths can be hard' so maybe you were legitimately struggling but now I think you're a quitter and an insular bumpkin. For one, there's not much maths in a web dev degree. Two, 'maths' is the abbreviation everywhere else in the English speaking world except north America. MATHematicS. You don't do mathematic singularly, it's a plural hence its equally logical to have the abbreviation as plural.

To be fair, he seems like a patronizing douche. He calls her 'bitch' and 'girl'. Perhaps he's emotionally withholding. That makes some people crazy.

No. You ask us to help with your suspicions but you've already concluded she's a bitch. It's not looking good. Perhaps you're a jerk and that's why she's all paranoid. Do everyone a favor and break up with her.

It's underrated I think because of the easy emotion of Jurassic bark. But luck of the fryrish is doubly tragic and twistingly bittersweet: fry has spent the entire series up until that point very ambivalent about his family. He thought they didn't love him and didn't care and so he didn't think about them much. But then his quest for the clover reveals that they loved him and missed him. And his brother, whom he loved but never got to enjoy as a friend, dedicated the rest of his life to raising a kind of fry 2.0 as a tribute. And the moment fry realises the extent of his family's love and concern, and how much he misses them We also all realise that they are dead and gone for 1000 years. He'll never see them again, and they all died not knowing where he went - A perpetual void in their lives and holes in their hearts. And fry walks away realizing the same fate is his for the rest of his life. They share the same kind of emotional destiny, 1000 years apart.

And the trumpet sounds and baldric says 'could this be the end? A ceasefire? The great war! 1914 - 19...16!' and of you know anything about WWI you instantly know it cant be the ceasefire... Too soon. Another year of useless bloodshed. And then, whistle! Up up and gone.
