Just like everyone else, get a sim for sure. This is a good one, then you can get the software.

I'm going to say don't build your own to start out with, it's going to take to much time and I like to learn as I go on. The first plan I got is Super Cub LP, many people start with this one.

It's great plane because you can do mods on it to make it into a 4ch. I still fly mine. You can also go with micro sized planes for a little cheaper. The Parkzone Ultra Micro J3 cub is good also, depends on where you will be flying and if it's really windy.

After watching all of these videos recently I wanted some way to record what I was driving. If you have a Android phone you can use it to do this with GPS and maps. autoguard is great for android, and iPhone has some apps also.

I currently have a DX6i, I don't know if i'll ever upgrade. If I want something in that price range I'll most likely get a different brand.

100% ready that is the next step that I took. I got a fixed pitch micro, it really helped me understand orientation which is the hard part. After that I got a MCPX its a game changer.

Same thing happened to me one time. Clicked a exe and it just vanished no idea what happened. I also did a bunch of scans and found nothing. Only thing I would say if you haven't done already is do the scans in safe mode.
