Everything seems too supportive and one-sided there. There aren't any real discussions, just everyone on the same side, preaching to the choir.

It seems like that's pretty common on forums/boards where women are the majority, if my ex's experiences are anything to judge by. She used to frequent a few forums where most of the subscribers were women and I heard pretty much the same complaint from her all the time.
