I'm looking to buy a laptop that can run Diablo 3 by WallOfPeanutsin diablo3

Whoah. I've recently noticed a drop in performance even though I hadn't changed any graphics settings. Will try turning this off tonight!

I suppose I'll give it a go.

It's RPGish enough to capture a portion of the RPG crowd. It's twitchish enough to capture a portion of the twitch-gaming crowd. Basically, you pick a character and run around a big world attacking enemies, looting the dead, and working towards more powerful skills and equipment. You need not invest much time in the story; you need not invest much time in the skills/stats system. Mostly you just click on things. Click to attack. Click to pick-up. Click to move. Click to open. Click to talk. Click to skip the dialog and move on. Of course there's a bit more to it than that, but not much.

It may sound as though I'm being dismissive, I don't mean to be. Not at all. While it's clear I'm not a hard-core diabloite, I've played through D2 more times than the FDA recommends and am anxious to stop writing this post so that I can go play more D3. When taken with a bit of perspective, I think even the most devoted fans must be aware of the simple truth: Blizzard has successfully hacked some reptilian portion of the human brain; Diablo is merely their way of monetizing this R&D.

To clarify:

If you've ever gambled, you'll know the feeling of anxious anticipation that takes over as you watch the wheels spin, the dice tumble, or the cards flip. Basically, what Blizzard has done is take that experience, that moment, and condense it down into it's purest essence. Every time that an enemy's health bar drops to zero, you see a bit of loot come dropping to the ground. There is a sound and a small pause as it falls to the ground; during this time, you don't know what it is. Every time you hear that sound, you have a small but non-zero chance of finding the greatest item you've ever found. And that, my friend, is why we click.

Join us. You will not be disappointed.

I believe this type of short, self-referential joke may be my favorite kind of joke. While unfortunately I remained stoic during my delerious reading, I am now trying to think of a partner joke about the sharpened pencil. And this exploration brings me great joy.

I liked it. Didn't laugh but I kind of farted while watching. And that hurt too. So...good job!

Oh, I don't doubt it. But to my knowledge, other apps don't do it, and it would really set yours apart. The best I've found so far is 'reddit sync' which pre-loads all the images, so when you click a link it pops up instantaneously. But it's mostly for images.

Maybe two tabbed Views, both ListViews? One entitled 'Reddit' and the other 'Loaded'? When you click a link in the reddit view, it begins loading the website/image/comments in background. When the story is ready, it pops into the 'Loaded' list. Then I could both peruse Reddit and load stories at the same time. Honestly, for me, the i.reddit.com layout works just fine. No need for fancy comment formatting. Just a collection of pre-loaded WebViews.

Oh, and, I don't mean to sound bossy. This is really just my own personal wishlist for a reddit app, which for some reason I feel compelled to tell you about. Nor is it meant as a criticism of your app. I really like the simplicity and clarity of the layout. It's fast and well-done. It's just a bummer when on 3g to sit and wait 20s for an image to load.

Is it possible to pre-load certain links in the background to accommodate my browsing style: load all interesting stories in background, quickly scan through all selected links while next reddit page loads.

There was a hacker on the Reddit West Coast [Firework] Server just now, using a name switcher. I got banned for it just now. Can someone undo this? by robson0in tf2

Mis-banning is a bannable offense. The only way to make up for it is to vote dogbread.
