No, I was under the impression that his main "defense" is that his show is a comedy program that airs on Comedy Central, and he's a comedian, not a reporter. As such, he believes that while his humor is politics based, he has no ethical requirement to be an unbiased news source.

I'm sure that the people who "only watch" the Daily Show get their news elsewhere, likely from online sources, magazines, and newspapers, in addition to what they see on TV, as a result of likely being a well-educated audience. People who watch Fox News are probably far more likely to only watch Fox News exclusively.

USC has excellent bandwidth, but make sure you bring an ethernet cable to plug in. The wifi network is, at best, spotty, and at worst, nonfunctional (especially on days when there are events on campus).

One caveat to be aware of - USC ITS does set certain bandwidth limits, I believe 3.5 GB in a two-hour period and 10 GB in a day before they shut you down.

Oh, I'm not trying to say that I see her as a sympathetic character. She is absolutely still a pretty horrible mean character, just that in that episode she was very strongly humanized such that I really feel sympathy for where she's coming from, even if I don't agree with how she acted.

I'm not a huge fan of January Jones as an actress, but this was an incredibly well acted episode on her part. I felt more sympathy for Betty than I've felt pretty much the entirety of Mad Men up to this episode.

No. Completely different production staffs. The Wire is by David Simon, Luck is by David Milch, Milch is a huge fan of horse racing himself and actually owns racehorses, which is almost certainly where he got the inspiration for Luck.
