it's like taking a massive step back from all the progress that's been made. it's especially upsetting when this attitude is taken up by Christians who have the responsibility of being a face for Christianity.

i've had horrible experiences with Cru members. when i've tried to talk to them about Christianity, they have almost always had a "holier than thou" attitude. that is not the way to reach people.

it frustrates me that this seems to be the norm amongst Crusaders.

I don't believe God told us how to live because he wants order and rules. I believe the bible is full of answers to all sorts of questions on how to live, and that the answers are rather choices that help us to live more wholly.

for example, self-control in life is a trait which almost always only leads to good things. God gives us the key to live wholly, but we have to work for it. I think that's why Jesus spoke in so many parables.
