When I was very young, I was watching a tv movie about a downs syndrome kid. At one point he was getting bullied. I started crying. My mom suddenly walked in the room and asked why. I blurted out that Ollie (my dog) had bit me. She scolded him and took away his food.

Even worse, The first time i had to bathe him i thought dogs took baths like people, So i filled up the tub. I then held his head underwater just to see what would happen. After struggling for a bit I let him up for air and immediately felt horrible...and still do 30 years later.

Not my story but told to me by the actor Tony Shalhoub.

Visiting NYC and in a big hurry, he paid his cabbie and jumped out, realizing a few minutes later that he had left his wallet in the cab. Called lost and found -- nothing.

A year later, again visiting NYC, he again hopped in a cab. The cabbie keeps looking at him in the rearview, until finally he asks if he used to have shorter hair. Tony says "yeah." Cabbie says, "Oh, then I have your wallet" and reaches in his glove compartment, handing back his wallet. Money, everything STILL THERE.

tldr; Loses wallet in a cab while visiting NYC...a year later happens to take the same exact cab, recognized by cabbie and is reunited with said wallet.
